FALL TRYOUTS

Once again, barring a significant change in the number of expected tryout registrants, LAHC intends to roster four boys teams (Gold, Maroon, JV1 & JV2) and one girls team.

The Rambler Conditioning Camp for the boys will be held before tryouts from Aug 12-15th. 

The LAHC pre-tryout kickoff meeting for all participants and parents will be on August 17th (time TBD).

Tryouts have been moved up a week earlier from previous years because Bantam club tryouts were moved earlier, and we’d like to give Bantam-eligible players who do not get rostered on an LAHC team a chance to return to their home club for the season. Therefore, tryouts for the boys teams will be August 17-22nd (times TBD).  And tryouts for the girls team will be August 25th (time TBD).

All pertinent information related to tryouts will be posted on our LAHC website by the end of July and registration for tryouts should be available around August 1st. 

FALL SEASON KICKOFF

After the completion of tryouts, teams will begin practices immediately and LAHC will hold a club-wide meeting for all parents and players the week of August 26th.  Teams will NOT have practice Friday-Monday of Labor Day weekend.  Regular season games will start in late September.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

All boys teams will participate in an Early Bird Tournament in September before the beginning of the regular season.  Maroon, JV1, and JV2 will participate in local tournaments.  Once again, the Gold team will participate in the Ridley Tournament in Ontario the weekend of September 20-22nd.  All players rostered on Gold who intend to travel will need a current passport. Please keep this in mind if you have a player who may be rostered on Gold this season and prepare accordingly. 

All boys teams will once again participate in our LAHC O’Grady Tournament over the Thanksgiving weekend.  Maroon and Gold WILL NOT participate in the Purple Puck over the Christmas Break this year.  All teams will be off for finals and the Christmas Holiday from December 16th through January 2nd.  Due to the condensed regular season and the number of games scheduled, Gold, Maroon, and JV1 will have league games the weekend of January 4-5th.  We will be asking all boys players who are ultimately rostered on Gold, Maroon, or JV1 to return from any holiday travel by January 2nd, in anticipation of having practice on January 3rd in advance of games on January 4th and/or 5th, so please keep this in mind as you contemplate possible holiday travel. 

SAFE SPORT TRAINING

All players who are or will be 17 years old (2007 birth year or earlier) during the upcoming season need to complete SafeSport training annually. Players must have their 2024-25 USA Hockey Confirmation Number before completing their SafeSport training.  Click here to complete your SafeSport training. Please complete the training as soon as possible because your player cannot be rostered without it.
